In one video, a woman can be seen in tears, desperately pleading for her husband’s life. “Save my husband, please,” she repeats, her voice breaking as emotion overwhelms her, the rest of her words drowned by sobs.
Another survivor recounted that she was eating bhelpuri when a gunman approached and shot her husband. “He told my husband he wasn’t a Muslim and then shot him,” she told.
In a separate video, a woman is seen attending to a severely injured man lying on the ground. “Sir, please, please, please ask for help,” she begs, her voice shaking with urgency.
According to eyewitnesses, the attackers fired at close range, targeting tourists and leaving several people wounded.
“My husband was shot in the head, and seven others were also injured,” one woman over the phone.
The incident took place in Pahalgam, Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. Officials confirmed that at least 12 tourists were injured, and several fatalities are feared in what is being described as a brutal terrorist attack
