Like many of you makeup lovers I cannot pass a makeup counter without peeking what is new. The colours, the products always intrigue me. A few days back I was at my local general store when I saw an all new super girlish counter by Street Wear. On query the sales person told me that it was an all new and improved range which was launched a few days back. I immediately began swatching some lipsticks and picked these two. Here’s my review of Berry Dreamy 26 and Pink Pirouette 19:
Price : They are a steal at 180 INR
Claims: The lipsticks had no claims, in fact the cost is also missing. I have been looking for information about this new product for more than 10 days now and couldn’t find anything on their website. The endless mails to the Revlon PR team did not yield any results.
Packaging: The lipstick is packaged in a black tube with amazingly cute girly graffiti. The top cap is transparent so that you can see the lip shade. A super cute packing, probably one of its kind in India.
Pros of Revlon street wear lipstick in Berry Dreamy 26 and Pink Pirouette 19:
- When I tried the shades, they swatched well on my hands. In fact it was difficult picking just two shades. The colour range offered is amazing.
- Upon application they smell a bit like eclairs!
- The new street wear range is a steal at 158INR
- Glides on easily.
- The pretty packaging, that’s what stole my heart!
- Revlon street wear lipstick in Berry Dreamy 26 is a toffee coloured orange lipstick as opposed to the bright orange it looks like in the tube. Pink Pirouette 19 is softer than it actually looks.
Cons of Revlon street wear lipstick in Berry Dreamy 26 and Pink Pirouette 19:
- I would suggest you all not to get all excited like me with the new packaging. While Street Wear might have re-invented their looks, the product also needs a better formulation. On some days the lipstick looks super creamy on my lips and at times it has a matte effect!
- They have no colour pay off as they fade within an hour or two.
- Work best as a balm!
