After Munnar our second stop was Alleppy. Alleppy is all about backwaters. Houseboat is one of the main attractions in backwater tourism, though we initially booked one but later our friends suggested us to opt for a hotel as there are few restrictions with houseboat like no air conditioners in the afternoon , food choices etc. The main reason for a stop over at Alleppy was to take a break between Munnar to Kovalam . We stayed in Alleppy for just one night at Vasundhara Sarovar Premiere which is set in the pristine backwaters of Kerala. It is a good hotel to relax and unwind with spacious rooms. We enjoyed couple of activities at the hotel like a free 30 minute backwater boat ride , fishing at the pond,rode a pedal boat followed by a swimming session.
