Mall Road: The Mall road of Shimla is the main shopping area and is the most popular shopping spot of the city. It is flooded with fashion stores, restaurant, bars, coffee shops and even some local shops. Many international brand like United Colours of Benetton, Levis, Tommy Hilfiger, Madame, Woodland , Octave to name a few are here. There is a department store too and few gift galleries too. You can buy shawls, suits, sarees, bags , scarves, mufflers, colourful caps, and more. The big brands don’t allow bargaining but at local ones you can always give a try. You can also find some electronic stores too on mall road. Dominos, Café Coffee Day and La Pino’s, Honey Hut are also on the Mall Road.

Lakkar Bazar: As the name suggests the place offers some wooden items which are perfect to pick as souvenirs like walking sticks, toy, figurines, key-chains, pots, candle stands, kitchen ware for the family and friends. You can also buy some home décor items too. Besides the wooden items shops there are few eateries and fruit shops too. The most popular bakery here is the Tripti Bakery shop. You can bargain a lot in this market. If here you can also enjoy a session of skating at the skating ring.

Lower Bazaar: Located below the Mall Road, the market is popular among the locals. You will find a mix of all shops here from garments to grocery store and some small fruit sellers too. This market is like a local market which has gas repairing stores to cosmetic shops and more. You can pick some sweaters shawls, suits, caps, socks, shoes etc. The place also has some cheap hotel. The shoppers here are not keen in entertaining the tourists. You can get down from the road next to Shere-E-Punjab Restaurant on the mall road or through staircases.

Tibetan Market: Located on the slope this market is popular for clothes especially first copies of brands like Adidas, Nike, Levis and United Colors of Benetton, jewellery and shoes at reasonable rates. The market has more of male stuff but you can find some good quality clothes at cheap prices. Avoid it during rains as its gets very slippery. It is near the post office
PS: It is located on a slope so climbing up can be little tiring.
