I recently visited Shimla hills and experienced a heavy snowfall there. It was mesmerizing and a lifetime experience. As lovely as the experience was, it was difficult to manage the situation as well. While the snow is beautiful and freezing you need to keep in mind that it is very wet as well. So, if you are planning to go on a snow trip, here are the things that you need to take care of:

- Layering: Dress yourself up in layers to maintain body heat. Go for woolen and high-quality warmers.
- Wear shoes that are comfortable while walking in the snow. They must have a good grip.
- Keep extra socks, so that if one gets wet you can change.
- Cover your head, wear a cap so that your head is warm.
- Playing in the snow is fun, but take breaks while playing. Drink some water as well
- Apply SPF and lip balm for protection
- Eat protein and carbs. Avoid greasy, heavy foods.
- If the weather is windy, make sure you wear wind-free clothes
- Move your body, arms and legs regularly
- Wear waterproof gloves, playing in the snow can be easy
- Keep an umbrella for protection
- Walk slowly and carefully.
- Do not go in front of the heater immediately
- Keep your phone charged and carry a power bank as well

- If you are driving on your own, then check the tires carefully.
- Check that wiper blades are working properly
- Ensure that the battery is charged
- If you have hired a car, ask the driver to be extra careful
- Driving in snowy conditions means you will drive slower than normal, so go slow
- Check the de-mist function of the car.
If you make sure you follow all these things, then winter traveling can be an easy thing for you. Also, check the weather forecast before leaving, and pack accordingly.
