Indian family buys one of the world’s most expensive homes in Switzerland:
Pankaj Oswal, a billionaire of Indian descent, along with his wife Radhika Oswal, recently purchased one of the most costly residences globally situated in Switzerland. It is located in the picturesque Swiss village of Gingins, Villa Vari is a 4.3 lakh square feet countryside retreat that overlooks the snow-capped peaks of the Alps.
According to reports. the Oswals paid a staggering $200 million (Rs 1,649 crore approx.) for the lavish property in Switzerland. It is considered to be one of the world’s top 10 most expensive homes.

It was once owned by Christina Onassis, the daughter of Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, the villa underwent a redesign after the Indian-origin Oswal family purchased it.
Famous interior designer Jeffrey Wilkes was tasked with renovating the property. Wilkes is known for his work in iconic properties like Oberoi Udaivilas and the Leela Hotels. The interior designer has transformed the mansion with opulent and exotic furnishings from across the world. The décor inside features high ceilings, muted tones and delicate filigree work.

The Oswals have reportedly spent the past few years renovating the villa, which now features 12 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, a swimming pool, a tennis court, and a helipad. The villa also has a private cinema, a wine cellar, and a spa.
The purchase of Villa Vari is the latest in a series of high-profile real estate deals by Indian billionaires. In recent years, Indian billionaires have been buying luxury homes in cities around the world, including London, New York, and Los Angeles.
