Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family arrived in India on Saturday evening The visit is aimed at making stronger bilateral relations between the two countries. He will be in India till February 25 and will meet PM Modi on February 23. His last visit in India was in November 2012.
His wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau and their three children, daughter Ella-Grace Margaret Trudeau, and sons Xavier James Trudeau and Hadrien greeted India a Namaste from the aircraft.
Before his visit, Trudeau had tweeted, “Wheels up for India and a busy visit, focused on creating good jobs and strengthening the deep connection between the people of our two countries.
Justin Trudeau visited the world-famous Taj Mahal on Sunday with his family and later visited Wildlife SOS Elephant Conservation and Care Centre in Mathura.
On the third day of his week-long trip to India, he arrived at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state, Gujarat. He visited the Sabarmati ashram in Ahmedabad and the Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar followed by, addressing students at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

His week-long state visit to India, will give an opportunity to Trudeau to connect with the Indian leaders in government and business, promote empowerment of women and girls, and strengthen Canada and India’s close economic ties.

He will visit Mumbai on Tuesday, where he will meet top business leaders and representatives of Indian Film industry . He will later visit Golden Temple at Amritsar and will arrive in Delhi the same day.

Trudeau will visit Jama Masjid and a cricket ground in Delhi on Thursday and then he will deliver a lecture at a gathering of Canadian and Indian business leaders.

He will discuss on some major issues with Prime Minister Modi on Friday. The next day, Trudeau will address a conference of young change-makers before wrapping up his visit.
